1. This rule is designed for calculating the centre of gravity and load of a C130 transport aircraft. This is important as if the load is too heavy the aircraft will not fly - which is obvious. What is less obvious is that fact that if the centre of gravity is too far forward or back the aircraft controls will not allow the aircraft to manoeuvre as intended.
