1. This rule has a good complement of scales including log-log, trig and inverse scales. Indeed the only non-specialised scales it could be said to lack are the inverse log-log scales.

2. The construction is quite interesting in that it made of a light weight wood with plastic scales. However despite not having the wood laminated as on  my only other Russian rule, or with metal inserts, like Faber Castell, it shows little sign of warping.
